Interpreters

Interpreters

LOPD contracts with three providers for on-call telephonic interpretation services for every spoken language. These are call-in services available 24/7. They are intended to allow in-person interpretation between you and a client outside of court. This is separate from interpretation services provided in the courts by the courts.

Who can utilize this service?

This service is to be used by any LOPD employees or contract attorneys strictly for the purpose of communicating with current or potential LOPD clients. This service may be used in pretrial interviews with witnesses.

When should you utilize this service?

If you have bilingual staff in your office, we are asking that you utilize them to interpret primarily and utilize the interpreting service when in-house interpreters are unavailable or do not exist. The service is available 24/7 in case you have an emergency.

Who to contact with question or concerns?

If you have any concerns or issues with the service at any point, please report them to litigation.services@lopdnm.us so they may be addressed.
